My name is Lysianne Malilibakren. I am 30 years old and the single mother of Dylan, who will reach 2 years in September. I live in the Pacific Region, in Port-Vila, capital of the republic of Vanuatu, where I was born and raised.d I am presently jobless due to the Covid crisis ?

My little boy is suffering from a congenital malformation called hypospadia. It is a congenital abnormality, affecting boys, where the opening of the urethra is not located on top of the penis. For Dylan it is located at the root of his penis. It is extremely painful and he cries each time he has to pee.

The only cure of this malformation is surgery, but it cannot be done in Vanuatu. In the region, this surgical operation is only possible in Noumea where Pr. Jean Breaud, a pediatric urology specialized surgeon, will be coming from France and could operate Dylan beginning of July. For my little boy it is a unique opportunity to get rid of his malformation.

Unfortunately, I cannot afford such an expense. The total cost of the project (Trip to Noumea, hotel and food, hospital and surgeon fees) is estimated around 1,300,000 Pacific Francs (11,000 euros, or 11,700 USD or 16.500 AUD.

I’m appealing to your generosity and I hope to be able to gather this amount which would allow me to have this surgery performed on Dylan. All the gifts, even the smallest, are welcome. They will al be devoted to Dylan’s surgery.
